Garfield NJ Arson Defense LawyersGarfield NJ police recently arrested two underage boys who allegedly started a fire at a vacant home.

The scary incident happened around 3:40 p.m. Garfield NJ firefighters were sent to the site, a single-family home located at 54 Schley Street in Garfield, after receiving a report of a fire quickly spreading out of control.

When Garfield New Jersey firefighters got to the scene, they reportedly saw two juveniles standing on the roof.

Garfield police officers quickly removed the underage boys from the roof and took them into custody.

Fortunately, no one suffered any serious injuries as a result of the fire because the home was empty. However, the fire caused extensive damage to the property, ranging from the second floor to the attic. It took roughly half an hour for the firefighters to put out the fire.

The Garfield Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Arson Squad are actively investigating the possible arson incident.

If Bergen County NJ prosecutors ultimately decide to file charges against the juvenile suspects, they could be charged as juveniles or as adults.
