FDU Student Accused of Theft in Teaneck NJTeaneck New Jersey police arrested a college student at Farleigh Dickinson University after reportedly finding an airsoft gun and illegal drugs inside her dorm room.

The 21-year-old suspect, who is from Maryland, is a track and field star at the university. She recently competed in the 4×100 relay, the long jump, and the triple jump during the spring track and field season.

According to Teaneck police, the suspect stole a high-powered digital camera from a fellow student. Officials said that the other student got the camera on loan from a professor at the college.

Police officers acted on a tip and searched the suspect’s dorm room. During the search, officers allegedly discovered the camera hidden in the suspect’s bag.

Additionally, police allegedly found a spring-powered handgun, as well as a small amount of marijuana in the suspect’s room.

The suspect has been charged with multiple criminal offenses, including marijuana possession, unlawful possession of a weapon, and theft of movable property.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect secured her release from police custody by posting a $5,000 bail amount.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Fairleigh Dickinson University declined to comment on the allegations against the suspect.
