Hackensack NJ Sexual Abuse SuspectA Tennessee man has been extradited to Hackensack New Jersey after being accused of committing sexual assaults two decades ago.

According to NJ law enforcement, the suspect started the sexual abuse of the victim when she was seven years old.

The victim is now 27 years old and recently came forward with the allegations. She spoke with investigators with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and said that the suspect sexually abused her when she was between the ages of 7 and 14. Authorities believe that the sexual assaults happened in Hackensack, NJ.

The suspect, who is now 62 years old, was later placed under arrest. When he was arrested, the suspect was visiting family in Connecticut.

The suspect has been charged with multiple sex crimes, including aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault.

Although the suspect was first detained in Connecticut, he soon waived extradition and was sent to New Jersey.

After being transported to Hackensack NJ, the suspect was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, which is also in Hackensack. He was being held at the correctional facility in lieu of a $300,000 bail amount.
