Englewood NJ Traffic Ticket LawyersEnglewood New Jersey police are looking into a traffic accident that resulted in a Palisades Park man suffering serious injuries.

The victim was a pedestrian who suffered the injuries after allegedly being hit by a 2014 Mercedes ML350 on a roadway in Englewood, NJ.

The driver of the SUV, a 40-year-old male from Old Tappan NJ, allegedly slammed into the victim while attempting to turn left from Phelps Avenue onto Grand Avenue. The victim, a 68-year-old man, was trying to cross the street in an area of the road that lacked a crosswalk.

The victim is said to have sustained fractures to his face and vertebrae, as well as bleeding in his brain.

The victim was discovered lying in the road and unconscious after the accident. He was then rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he received medical treatment for his injuries.

Meanwhile, the suspect stayed at the scene of the accident and gave a statement to Englewood police officers.

At this time, Englewood police do not expect to bring criminal charges against the driver. It also appears that the driver will not be hit with any serious traffic charges like reckless driving. However, Englewood police did indicate that they planned to issue a traffic citation for failure to stop for a pedestrian in an unmarked crosswalk.
