Ridgefield Park NJ Eluding Police LawyersRidgefield Park NJ police recently apprehended a Cliffside Park NJ accused of eluding police after a traffic stop.

According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was seen committing numerous moving violations while driving on Route 46 in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

A Ridgefield Park NJ patrol cop spotted the suspect driving a Mercedes Benz ML 350 on the highway and pulled him over. The police officer then asked the suspect to get out of the vehicle because he appeared to be intoxicated. However, the suspect refused to exit his vehicle and instead allegedly drove off, resulting in a police pursuit.

A number of Ridgefield Park police officers joined the car chase, with the suspect allegedly evading police for some time along Route 46. The dangerous chase finally ended when the suspect crashed into two police cars just before reaching the Secaucus toll plaza on the highway.

Ridgefield Park NJ police later got a warrant to search the suspect’s car and allegedly discovered five ounces of marijuana inside the vehicle.

The suspect is a 36-year-old man who resides in Cliffside Park, New Jersey. He has been charged with a number of criminal offenses, including eluding police, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and simple possession of marijuana. Additionally, the suspect has been cited for 30 traffic offenses.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was moved to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey.
