Hackensack NJ police are looking into the recent deaths of two people whose bodies were discovered in a car parked in an upscale area.
According to law enforcement, the victims were found in a Chevy Tracker parked near the Stratford House apartment complex, which is located on Overlook Avenue in Hackensack, New Jersey. The SUV reportedly had NY license plates.
Michael Mordaga, the Hackensack police director, issued a statement indicating that Hackensack police officers were investigating the deaths as possible homicides. During the initial investigation, Hackensack NJ police shut down Overlook Avenue for several hours.
Hackensack police officers attempted to obtain security video surveillance footage from the Stratford House apartment complex, but the apartment complex does not maintain cameras in front of the building.
The victims are said to have been a couple: a 29-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman.
Police have indicated that the female victim’s purse was discovered on the hood of the motor vehicle.
