Police in Fairview New Jersey arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fairview Police Department began to look into allegations of a sex crime after the victim’s family came forward to allege that the suspect sexually assaulted the young girl. The victim’s parents first contacted Fairview police, which then reached out to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office for assistance with the investigation.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit conducted a detailed investigation into the sexual offense allegations and determined that enough evidence existed to link the suspect to the alleged sexual assault of the juvenile victim.

The suspect allegedly committed the sex crimes on multiple occasions at a residence in Fairview, New Jersey.

The suspect is a 25-year-old man who lives in West New York, New Jersey. He has been charged with a number of crimes, including sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and child endangerment.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was moved to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. He was being held at the jail on a $250,000 bail amount.
