Fairview NJ police recently nabbed a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a juvenile at a local home.
The victim is a 12-year-old girl from Fairview, New Jersey. She told her parents that the suspect inappropriately touched her at a residence in Fairview. The girl’s parents then notified the Fairview Police Department and filed an official report. Fairview police then reached out to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, with both law enforcement agencies subsequently conducted a joint investigation into the alleged sex crime.
Fairview NJ police officers and Bergen County detectives talked to the victim and reportedly learned he committed the sexual offense on at least one occasion.
Police eventually arrested the suspect, who is said to be a 25-year-old construction worker from West New York. He now faces numerous sex crime charges, including sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.
After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was being held at the correctional facility on a massive bail amount of $250,000.
