Over the past year, New Jersey law enforcement conducted multiple drug busts in North Jersey, with the most recent drug bust leading to one of the largest heroin seizures in NJ history.

The agencies participating in the investigation leading to the drug bust included the US Department of Homeland Security, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the Palisades Park Police Department, the West New York Police Department, and the Bayonne Police Department.

The drug bust was carried out at a number of locations in Bergen County, with police arresting two men who were allegedly connected to a drug distribution network operating in Palisades Park, West New York, and Bayonne.

Investigators secured search warrants and arrest warrants and learning that one of the suspects was expecting “a large shipment of heroin.”

The drug raids reportedly led to the discovery of 21 kilograms of heroin with a street value of more than $1 million. Additionally, police reportedly seized drug paraphernalia that included a digital scale, a kilo press, and drug packaging materials.

The two suspects, a 45-year-old Palisades Park NJ man and a 46-year-old Bayonne NJ man, have both been charged with first degree possession with intent to distribute heroin.
