A Palisades Park NJ man and a North Bergen NJ man have been charged with drug distribution in Hudson County, NJ.
The suspects were placed under arrest after police officers searched their respective residences and allegedly found large quantities of cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine. Police conducted the first search at the North Bergen suspect’s house on the 9200 block of Kennedy Boulevard and the second search at the Palisades Park suspect’s home on the 100 block of Grantwood Avenue.
The Palisades Park NJ suspect is a 57-year-old man and the North Bergen suspect is a 48-year-old man. Both men face several criminal charges, including possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
If the suspects are ultimately convicted on the first degree drug crime charges, they would be subject to significant criminal penalties. For instance, the Palisades Park suspect could potentially be sentenced to 10-20 years in NJ State Prison, while the North Bergen suspect could be sentenced to life in prison because he has a criminal record that includes a prior conviction for drug distribution.
While the criminal charges remain pending, the suspects are being held at the Hudson County Jail in Kearny, New Jersey.
