Law enforcement is looking for three men who allegedly committed a violent home invasion and robbery in Englewood New Jersey on Valentine’s Day.
The violent incident occurred at the Cross Creek condo complex around 9:30 p.m. According to law enforcement officials, the three suspects approached one of the victims, a 30-year-old Englewood NJ man, while he was unloading groceries from his vehicle. The suspects wore masks over their faces and brandished handguns during the attack.
The three men then reportedly forced the victim to walk inside his apartment. The victim’s wife was present during the incident and was also held at gunpoint. While one of the suspects allegedly pointed a gun at the female victim, the other two suspects searched the apartment for valuable items to steal.
The suspects eventually exited the apartment and fled the scene in a motor vehicle.
Detectives with the Englewood Police Department investigated the theft incident and found home video surveillance footage showing the suspects as they left the area.
If police can eventually determine the identities of the suspects, it is likely that the men would face criminal charges for armed robbery, burglary, weapons offenses, and aggravated assault.
While Englewood police searches for the suspects, authorities are asking local residents to make sure to lock doors and close windows before leaving their residences.
