An NYC man was arrested and accused of robbing banks in Bergen County, New Jersey.
The suspect is a 41-year-old resident of New York City. According to law enforcement, the suspect robbed banks in Fort Lee NJ, Hasbrouck Heights NJ, and Scarsdale, New York.
All of the banks allegedly robbed by the suspect are TD Banks.
Englewood New Jersey cops arrested the suspect as he was allegedly in the process of targeting another bank located in Bergen County. According to officials, patrol officers saw the suspect seated in a car outside the Englewood TD Bank around midnight. The police officers noticed that the car, a red 2017 Mitsubishi, matched the vehicle description provided by witnesses to the other bank robberies.
The police officers investigated the matter and then placed the suspect under arrest without incident.
The suspect now faces criminal charges for multiple crimes, including robbery and theft of movable property. Additionally, the suspect has been charged with possession of heroin because police allegedly found him with heroin inside his car when arresting him.
