A Teaneck man who teaches in Bergen County was recently placed under arrest and charged with several sex crimes after he allegedly touched an underage girl.
The suspect is a 41-year-old man from Teaneck, New Jersey. According to Bergen County prosecutors, the suspect sexually assaulted a six-year-old girl on February 17 at an undisclosed location in Teaneck, NJ.
Law enforcement officials have not revealed a lot of details about the case, including where the suspect’s school is located or whether the alleged victim attended the school.
Someone alerted the Teaneck Police Department on February 22, leading to an investigation involving Teaneck NJ police detectives and detectives with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. Detectives interviewed the suspect and ultimately made the determination that there was enough evidence to charge him.
The suspect faces multiple criminal charges, including sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.
After being arrested and charged, the suspect was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ.
