Fairview NJ Aggravated Assault SuspectFairview New Jersey police arrested a Union City man accused of participating in a bar fight that resulted in someone being stabbed.

The suspect accused of being part of the fight is a 30-year-old man from Union City, New Jersey. According to Fairview law enforcement, he was involved in the recent violence at Bar One in Fairview, NJ.

After the aggravated assault, the stabbing victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center so that doctors could treat him for non-life threatening injuries. His most serious injury was a punctured lung.

Although Fairview detectives do not think that the Union City suspect was the person who stabbed the victim, they do believe that he was part of the bar brawl. Fairview police identified the suspect through a Snapchat video that captured the assault. A witness shot the video on their cellphone and then posted it to the popular social media app. The video was later shared with Fairview police.

Meanwhile, Fairview cops arrested the 28-year-old Plainfield man accused of using a knife during the Fairview bar fight and stabbing the victim.

The main stabbing suspect reportedly has a checkered criminal past, including convictions for aggravated assault on a police officer, robbery, and burglary. Now he has been charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses in connection with the Fairview bar fight and stabbing.
