Fort Lee Traffic Ticket LawyersPort Authority police officers recently arrested an East Orange NJ man accused of failing to pay the necessary toll on the George Washington Bridge (GWB) in Fort Lee, NJ.

The suspect is a 52-year-old man from East Orange, New Jersey. According to law enforcement, the suspect drove his vehicle through the toll plaza on the GWB in Fort Lee NJ and did not pay the required toll.

It has been speculated that the suspect may have hoped to avoid being noticed because it was the morning rush hour and there were a lot of vehicles on the GWB at the time.

A Port Authority cop was on foot patrol and reportedly saw the suspect drive past the toll booth without paying. The officer ordered the suspect to pull over his motor vehicle. However, the suspect allegedly ignored the cop’s instructions and instead attempted to flee the scene.

The suspect reportedly struck a concrete divider near the toll plaza while trying to evade police.

Port Authority NJ officers eventually caught the suspect and placed him under arrest.

The suspect was subsequently cited for numerous traffic violations, including eluding police, toll evasion, and reckless driving.
