River Vale Traffic Law FirmRiver Vale NJ police are investigating an auto accident that resulted in a child suffering minor injuries.

The car crash happened in the afternoon on Rivervale Road, not far from Holdrum Middle School in River Vale, New Jersey. Authorities have not revealed whether the young victim attends the middle school as a student.

According to law enforcement, a 44-year-old Emerson man was operating a motor vehicle and driving along Rivervale Road when he slammed into the victim, an 11-year-old boy. The child was reportedly riding his bike on the side of the street just before the accident occurred.

The motorist stopped and reportedly dialed 911 to alert local law enforcement. River Vale NJ police officers and emergency medical responders went to the accident site. Paramedics then transported the accident victim to Hackensack University Medical Center at Pascack Valley. Doctors later issued a statement and indicated that the young victim sustained minor injuries in the car accident.

The River Vale Police Department is currently investigating the car accident and trying to determine whether the driver should be issued any traffic citations for reckless driving, careless driving, or speeding.
