Police officers recently arrested a Teaneck New Jersey woman who allegedly drove her vehicle through a toll on the GW Bridge in Fort Lee and failed to pay the required toll.
The suspect is a 35-year-old resident of Teaneck, NJ. According to law enforcement, the suspect was operating a Jeep Cherokee and traveling on the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee NJ when she illegally passed through a toll.
Port Authority officers reportedly saw the toll sign go off, so they stopped the suspect’s motor vehicle.
Police then ran a check on the motorist and reportedly discovered that she owed thousands of dollars in unpaid tolls and fees. The outstanding fines and fees from the traffic citations reportedly total $6,845.
Port Authority cops arrested the suspect and impounded her Jeep.
The suspect has been charged with a crime for theft of service. She has also been issued traffic citations for toll evasion and failure to observe a sign.
