Teaneck New Jersey police officers arrested a Warren NJ man who allegedly harassed a woman he met through a dating website.

The suspect lives in Warren in Somerset County, New Jersey. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect committed the threat offense against a Teaneck woman he met through SeekingArrangement.com. SeekingArrangement.com is a popular Internet dating site.

The alleged victim in the harassment case went to police headquarters in Teaneck and reported that the suspect was threatening to distribute embarrassing personal information about her. The victim said that the suspect was trying to get her to meet with him.

Teaneck Police Department detectives investigated the possible threat crime and served subpoenas on the dating site owner.

After Teaneck NJ police identified the suspect, they found him in Warren NJ and arrested him.

The suspect now faces criminal charges for cyber harassment and luring. If the suspect is ultimately convicted on the very serious charges, he could be sentenced to time behind bars.
