Police officers recently arrested a Ridgefield Park NJ man who allegedly sexually assaulted an underage child.
The suspect is a 45-year-old resident of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. According to Bergen County NJ prosecutors, the suspect committed the sexual offense at least once in June 2017. The suspect reportedly inappropriately touched the 11-year-old victim at an unspecified location in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.
The Ridgefield Park Police Department received a report of child molestation and immediately reached out to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. The two agencies then began an investigation, spoke to witnesses, and secured an arrest warrant for the suspect.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged with numerous sex crimes, including sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.
After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was moved to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ.
