Fort Lee NJ police recently arrested a local man who allegedly sexually assaulted a teen girl.

The suspect is a 43-year-old resident of Fort Lee, New Jersey. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect committed the sex offense in Fort Lee.

The Fort Lee Police Department got a report about the suspect sexually assaulting the 19-year-old victim. Fort Lee NJ police then contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. The two law enforcement agencies then opened an investigation into the sex crime allegations.

Bergen County detectives talked to the victim and eventually made the determination that there was enough evidence to charge the suspect with felony-level offenses.

The suspect currently faces criminal charges for sexual assault. It is possible that the suspect will face additional criminal charges, depending on the outcome of the police investigation.

After being arrested and charged, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ.
